• Effective Date: 18 May 2026 · Review scheduled: 18 May 2027

This policy applies to all activities conducted by Round Pebble Productions — specifically, our visits to and engagements with primary schools. It covers all founders and anyone acting on behalf of the company in a school setting.

Our primary focus is to ensure that, whilst we deliver creative and engaging content, the safety and wellbeing of children remain the absolute priority.

  • Round Pebble Productions believes that no child should ever experience abuse of any kind. We are committed to working in a way that protects them.

    We recognise that:

    • The welfare of the child is paramount.
    • All children, regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, race, religion, or sexual orientation, have a right to equal protection from all types of harm or abuse.
    • Working in partnership with children, their parents, and their schools is essential in promoting children's welfare.

  • When visiting primary schools, all representatives of Round Pebble Productions must adhere to the following standards of conduct.

Professional Boundaries. Maintain a professional relationship with pupils and school staff at all times. Avoid any over-familiarity.

Supervision. Never be alone with a child. Ensure all activities take place in the presence of a school staff member or in an open, visible environment.

Physical Contact. Avoid unnecessary physical contact. Any necessary contact (for example, adjusting a microphone) must take place in a visible, public setting and with the child's and the supervising teacher's explicit permission.

Communication. Use age-appropriate language at all times. Do not share personal contact details or social media handles with pupils.

Identification. Wear company identification or a visitor badge clearly at all times whilst on school premises.

  • If a representative of Round Pebble Productions has a concern about a child's welfare, or receives a disclosure from a child, we follow the Observe, Record, Report model.

Immediate Safety. If a child is in immediate danger, notify the school's Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or call emergency services without delay.

Disclosure. If a child speaks to you about a concern, listen without judgement. Do not promise confidentiality — explain clearly that you will need to tell someone who can help. Do not ask leading questions.

Recording. Write down exactly what was seen or said as soon as possible. Use factual, descriptive language and avoid personal opinion or interpretation.

Reporting. All concerns must be reported to the school's DSL before leaving the premises. The incident must also be reported to the Founders of Round Pebble Productions for internal record-keeping.

  • Round Pebble Productions treats the privacy of children with the utmost seriousness, particularly when capturing media for production purposes.

Consent. We will never photograph or record children without explicit, written parental consent obtained through the school's administration prior to the visit.

Storage. All images and data involving children will be stored on secure, encrypted devices and deleted once the specific project requirements have been met.

Usage. Images will be used only for the specific purposes agreed in the relevant consent forms (for example, a specific production or internal school use). We do not tag children's names in any digital media.

Approved Devices. Only equipment formally designated as company-approved by the Founders of Round Pebble Productions may be used to photograph or record pupils. At present, this comprises the Founders' own designated device(s). No other personal mobile phone or device may be used by any individual representing Round Pebble Productions to photograph or record children.

  • All founders and anyone representing Round Pebble Productions in a school setting must hold a current enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check prior to any school visit. We will keep records of DBS check dates and ensure timely renewal.

All such individuals will be briefed on this policy and the expected standards of conduct before their first school visit.

  • This policy will be reviewed annually, or sooner if there is a change in legislation, guidance, or operational circumstance.

Adoption. This policy is adopted by Natalie Inwood and Jeff Inwood, the Founders of Round Pebble Productions, on 18 May 2026. By adopting it, both Founders commit to upholding the standards set out in this policy and to ensuring that all representatives acting on behalf of Round Pebble Productions are appropriately vetted and briefed.

Next scheduled review: 18 May 2027.
